I keep getting an error message while in Parallels 4.0. It states: "an error occurred when assessing the hard disk. Error ID: Input/Output Error" Can anyone help
Check to see if your Mac says the same thing. In Console, check out the system.log. If it does, you have some kind of hardware failure. It's more likely to be the hard drive itself. I'd recommend making certain you have a backup of all your critical files before moving forward, as hard drives can go from mostly-working to completely-not-working in an instant.
