quick question, but now that i have parallels 4 working nice.... is there a way to change the hard drive icon that is used once parallels starts? in ver 3, i had changed it in the app but it doesnt looked like this option in there for 4 it seems to be pulling the default icon from the machine, the original, not my customized ones thanks Darrin
no way to do this? been trying but have resorted to not showing the drive on my desktop since there seems to be no way to change it EDIT: found the icon to change finally, now for the program icon
darrinsden (or someone else), could you tell me how to change de virtual drive icon (what's the .icns file/files that must be changed or something) in Parallels Desktop 4 for Windows XP?? I've been googling for hours trying to find the way, but without any success... Thanks in advance!
Nothing seems to work I have replaced the icns with a new icon in the .pvm and the Application Package. But nothing seems to change the actual icon when Parallels loads the icon still show up as the default icon on my desktop. This fix worked in Parallels 3 Any Ideas?
will post as soon as i find it again... just updated this morning and no cannot find the icon again. it seem like it keeps moving
found it again! macintosh --> Library --> parallels --> Parallels Service --> Show Contents ---> contents -->plugins --> parallel VM --> show contents -- contents --> resources --> disk_icon.icns
In case anyone is curious... in Parallels 8, the path is: /Applications/Parallels Desktop.app/Contents/MacOS/Parallels VM.app/Contents/MacOS/Parallels Inverse Sharing.app/Contents/Resources/disk_icon.icns
