Black screen, the red "busy" icon is spinning in dock. All buttons on window (Start, Shut Down, etc) are dimmed. I tried force quitting, but upon restart, Parallels just openes to a black screen again. I see no way of resetting it or getting ouf of this state it seems to be stuck in.

    1. Start Windows in Safe Mode (Press F8 key during the boot-up process and choose Safe Mode from the list).

    2. Uninstall Parallels Tools

    * From the Windows Start menu, choose Control Panel > Add or remove programs.
    * Select Parallels Tools and click Remove.

    3. Restart the Windows guest OS.

    4. While Windows is running, install Parallels Tools again:

    * From the Parallels Desktop menubar, choose Actions > Install Parallels Tools. The Parallels Tools installation wizard appears in the guest OS window.
    * Follow the wizard instructions to complete installation.

    5. Restart the Windows guest OS again.

I would restart in Safe Mode if I could. The program is consistently a black screen. All buttons are dimmed. I cannot restart Windows in any mode. The Parallels icon in the dock keeps spinning red. Quitting/Force quitting the Parallels app does nothing. I just restart Parallels to the same black screen in the middle of an apparent crash that cannot be reset.

Please backup VM, after quitting Parallels,
Navigate to VM folder right click on pvm, show package contents - and delete mem and sav files from there

    Backup pls
