I am running v4.0 on XP sp2. My icons keep migrating to the left side of the desktop and now all the icons with a few exceptions, give me a window that reads: "The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?", when I click on them. If I click run it opens but it is a bit of a pain. Anyone have a fix?

Well your first soution is a sign up for a fee thing and I am not doing that! The second suggests entering the server name. What would that be? The icons that do it are all the Microsoft office ones that are .exe programs as well as ones that give a .psf in the error message. I am not that computer savvy, so a step by step solution would be a good one for me. Ron
Links provided are related to "The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?", The easy way for , is to disable Shared Profile VM - Click Configure, and uncheck Share Profile
I did disable the shared profile and that cleared up the icon situation. The problem is now I cannot connect any peripherals and have them shared by both the Mac and the VM. Printers and external hard drives now ask if I want to associate this device with the Mac or VM and that is the only OS that will recognize the external device. Not good for me. I use my printers on both OS.
