My virtual machine seems to be very touchy about starting up. I have been unable to find the exact circumstances that cause this to happen but whenever I start my virtual machine it seems to have a 1 in 3 chance of hanging on boot-up. If it does hang on boot-up, then I usually have to stop and restart the virtual machine up to 5 times to get it to come up if it comes back up at all.

The virtual machine hang happens as follows:

    - Start the virtual machine
    - Windows Loading screen finishes
    - Windows Audio file plays just as the desktop background shows up.
    - Desktop background comes up but no icons, no start bar. None of the Windows shortcut keys work (i.e. CTRL+ALT+DEL, etc.). The mouse appears to show up in the OS just fine but there's nothing to interact with and I can't right-click. It hangs here indefinitely

Note: This is NOT a bootcamp virtual machine

This was happening under Parallels Desktop v3 and is still happening after upgrading my virtual machine to v4

    I'm currently using Build 4.0.3540

    Any thoughts?

PS. My apologies if this issue has come up before or has already been answered. I've done some searching but could not find anything obvious.
