Is it possible to have multiple configurations for the same VM?

I would like to have two configurations, one for normal use and one for gaming (where I would crank up the ram and and video memory for the VM). Is it possible to do this without having to create a new VM or manually changing the settings each time I start?

    Thanks

    Yes create your baseline VM
    Next 'Clone' that VM
Finally open your 'cloned' VM and alter those settings for the alternate settings you desire!

    hope that helps!

Thanks for your answer, but wouldn't this create a second VM? I would like to avoid having to use the additional harddrive space associated with a second VM if possible.

    Hello,

just it is not clear what do you want to do.
You want to have the one VM but it should have 2 configuration file?
If you want to change only the settings you can play with RAM and Video each time you want to change configuration.

Or you may install 2 OS inside one virtual machine. But you cannot have 2 configuration file for 1 Virtual machine.

Actually you can , but drawback is you need to copy config.pvs inside VM bundle,
So quick solution is just to edit configuration as you need before you start
