Microsoft Update does not work in Parallels Desktop 3.0 on my MacBook Pro. When I run the updater, it attempts to find updates and then displays error mesage 0x80072EE2. This happens both in Express and Custom modes. I can access the internet without any problems so the connection is OK. I am running Parallels Desktop 3.0 for MAC, and XP Professional SP2. I've done everything in the KB836941 article without success. What can be done to fix this? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
If it is a Boot Camp Windows installation install Windows updates only under Boot Camp, either way it can cause Windows failure. If it is not, try the following: 1. Turn off Kaspersky, if it is installed. 2. Microsoft Update error 0x80072EE2 fixed I found a post via Google which provided the solution to the problem. The time out error was because windows genuine was failing to complete because the time and date were not set correctly, I updating the time from the windows timeserver (or pool.ntp.org) and MS Update now works fine.
