Just upgraded to 4.0 from 3.0

My question is about Coherence. When I turn Coherence on, the Windows Start Taskbar is placed right above my OSX Dock (at the bottom of the screen).

I have seen screen shots where the Windows Taskbar is not there at all and the Parallels Icon in the dock serves as the 'Start' Menu.

So my questions are: how do I get the Windows Taskbar to disappear? And once this is working, how do I view my Windows Desktop?

    Thanks

In the menu bar somewhere (sorry, I don't have Parallels running) there is an option to show or hide the taskbar. I also move my taskbar to the top of the screen to make the clash less likely

Are you talking about the options: 'Exclude Dock' and/or 'Automatically relocate Windows Taskbar'?

I have played with both of them and they move the taskbar (to behind my Dock instead of on top), but they don't get rid of it...

    Thanks

    No; neither of those.
    I've opened Parallels now ...

In the Parallels menubar go to Applications and select "Hide Windows Taskbar" - I think that's what you need

Ahhh - that does it. And if you drag the 'Show Desktop' icon into the 'Start' button, then it places it in the start menu, which takes care of my second question.

    Thank you kindly.
