Bug report: sound "activate at startup" won't save unchecked?

Whenever I un-check the "Activate at Startup" option for the Sound device in the configuration editor and save the changes to the VM, it behaves as expected until I quit Parallels, but then after I relaunch the Parallels application, the "Activate at Startup" box is ALWAYS checked even though I had saved it as unckecked

This behavior has been consistent since beta 4, but I have only reported it now that I am using the GA and it is still the same. Is this in fact a bug, or is there something I am just not understanding properly?

It is not a very difficult problem to deal with; I simply need to remember to uncheck the box every time I launch Parallels Desktop, or else I will be greeted with a loud Windows startup chime that I would prefer not to hear.

Go into Windows control panel / sound and turn it (and other sounds you don't like) off.

Thanks, joem, for the suggestion, it definitely makes my life more pleasant.

Meanwhile, however, I am still curious as to whether this is indeed a bug or if there is something I am not understanding properly.

For those willing to test and see whether their system behaves like mine, it is very simple: Edit your VM settings and unckeck the "Activate at Startup" box in the sound options, then save the changes to your VM, then quit Parallels, then relaunch Parallels, then go back into the sound options and see whether the box is unckeched like you left it or is now checked (as mine would be)

I would be very interested in knowing whether others have the same experience
