I have installed 4.0 on a MacPro. Did a clean install, complete with new install of XP. My CD drive will not open while Windows is active (Win side or Mac). I can exit Parallels, open CD drawer in MacOS, then re-enter Parallels and be able to use CD.

Am using new Apple keyboard, but tried old keyboard as well.

I uninstalled Tools and reinstalled. Did not seem to make a difference.

    Any ideas?

Parallels support told me that they had already fixed this bug. Parallels Desktop is not ejecting tray if there is no media in drive. You can do right on dvd drive icon in "My Computer" and select "Eject" menu item. But it won't eject tray if Parallels Desktop window is not active.
Also you do not need to exit Parallels to eject drive, just click on CD drive icon and choose disconnect menu item, press eject button and change cd media if needed. After that click on CD icon and connect your drive to windows.

Thanks for the response. I later figured the "eject" out. I had been trying "open" instead. However, drive sometimes opens and immediately shuts. Still seems buggy. I just needed to get my two programs installed, I'll rarely use it in the future.
