Hi again. Within WinXP within Parallels and also in Bootcamp native my HP scanner 4370 is not recognized! Yes, it works perfectly within Leopard! HP Software is installed as well within WinXP. Any clues? Clicking the option to 'import' the usb scanner into the VM (being Bootcamp) does not detect the scanner. Having PD4 build 3540 and reinstalled the Parallels tools once more... Please advise; otherwise I'll file a ticket! Kind regards, Gaytan The Netherlands
Hello, actually this issue is quite specific, and it would really be advised to create a ticket for it. You can do so from here: http://www.parallels.com/support/desktop/
Hello! Thanks for your reply. Ticket posted now. Awaiting Parallels reply! Kind regards, Gaytan The Netherlands
Ticket by Parallels? Closed! Without a solution! Ridiculous!!!! Just saw my ticket has been closed without any solution!!! I open a ticket for my scanner problem; they send me an article about printerproblems! I mail them back and a few hours later the ticket is closed without any comment(s)!!! Just sent them a mail back; this opens the ticket again with 'another 23Hrs left' before the ticket closes automatically? Strange way of working at Parallels!!!1 Hope to hear something soon(est)..... :-( Gaytan
Gaytan, that is really strange, as ticket can be closed automatically after 2-4 days only, can you please send us the case (ticket) number so i can check it, and reopen?
HP Scanjet 4370 problems; ticket closed by Parallels without solution! Hi, Ticket id is: 627954 Nobody is doing zilch about it.... They're just wainting for time to pass and (appearantly?) tickets close automatically at Parallels.... Gaytan
Hello Gaytan. I checked the ticket history and it appears that you have been updated on Nov 29, 11:06 CST and we haven't heard from you since then. If you haven't received our last letter let us know and we'll re-send it right away.
Hello, I never received the email you guys sent on Saturday; ok, that explains it.... Sorry to say; I already have the latest drivers for my scanner alright: Windows 5.3 & . Mac 8.4. The Windows 5.3 drivers are installed right now in Windows but the scanner is detected as 'unknown device'. I'm quite sure, well ... I hope that when the next build (after the 3540) gets out, I'll be able to do checkdisk again. I hope this will make my scanner be detected as scanner again. Mind you; under PD3 this all worked very well alright!! If you have another suggestion, tip, hint etc I'd love to hear it! Rgrds, Gaytan
No usb devices detected now Hello, When I change the USB settings to 'Connect to a virtual' machine, like you asked in your mail, no usb devices (so no scanner either) shows up. They do show up when I leave the option 'ask me what to do'.
Hello, I did answer the ticket by mail; getting no response from Parallels.... No more tips / hints? If you're -temporarily- out of ideas; just say so... I can imagine! Prefer hearing 'that' instead of 'nothing at all'... Grtz. Gaytan
