    Hi All,

I am using Parallels Desktop 4.0
I have tried everything, but cannot get the Virtaul Machines to start (Boot) in Coherence Mode.
Under Configure > Options > Startup and Shutdown, I have have set the Open as option to Coherence.
However when I start the VM, the VM window would only enter Coherence Mode when the system completely boots up, i.e. - after the user has logged into windows.
I have already installed, re-installed Parallels Tools, however nothing has helped.
Can someone recommend / suggest a solution for this issue.
I would like to start the VM in Coherence mode.

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,

    Pankaj Mathur

That's the way it works. If you get into coherence once you get to the login screen, that's normal.

That is not what the documentation (help) says. Can someone from Parallels confirm this

Where in documentation? It's always been like that, even in 3.0. What's the big deal if it doesn't go into coherence right away?

Coherence will start when cohrence service starts
Cohrence service is starting only at time near login windows appear, so behavior is correct
We are trying to avoid to change Windows internals, in order VM to be truly physical PC

yes but with 3.0, i had an alias shortcut to my vm on the dock. when i clicked the alias, it would start the vm and show a very small progress bar dialog box. the dialog box would remain until coherence started and then it would show the windows login box. i never had to see the boot screen or windows loading screen. now, with 4.0 it shows the whole boot process.

i realize that this is not a functional problem, but it was an aspect of 3 that i really appreciated
