I have an XP guest - SP3 fully updated. I started fresh with the 4.0 release and created a new OS install. I installed parallels tools and it succeeds. That said, there is no icon in the taskbar nor a control panel applet. There is no start menu program folder for Parallels either. How can I fix this? I've updated Parallels - installed and reinstalled Tools. Nothing helps. I must be doing something dumb - but I can't crack it.
This is a feature. Parallels Tools now have no icon in Windows task bar trey or any item in start menu. All tools configuration must be done in "Virtual Machine configuration" dialog.
