Parallels NO START - USBModem seems to break "network adapter" settings

    Thanks a lot, this option makes a difference. I cannot live without my modem :)

    It works perfectly but something gets messed up in the network configuration and there's no going back to wifi. Instead of using DHCP it ends up with a self-assigned IP and you need to reboot.

    Still rebooting is required, but at least you don't have to reinstall too.

    Here is one more workaround: If you are on Windows guest and have the Parallels Tools installed, then using Network icon in the bottom left corner of window disconnect networking and connect it again (or change networking type to Host Only and then back to the Shared).

    There is another posibility to renew the DHCP address from windows command line

    I did something better, just trashed the dialer provided by my HSDPA carrier and used the Mac OS dialer instead. No more trouble for the moment.
