    VPN does work

I have no problems using VPN. In fact, VPN running as I write this with XP as the guest OS.

Try this...in the network preference panel under OSX, look for network port configurations. along with the usual ports such as built-in ethernet and airport, you will see one called: Parallels host-guest adaptor". My guess this is checked. trying unchecking this.

unchecking the Parallels host-guest adaptor resolved my vpn problem. I have no idea what that port is used for but it doesn't seem to affect too much. I have been able to establish simultaneous vpn sessions from OSX and XP, using wired ethernet and wireless airport.

    good luck.
