4.0 upgrade. Warning*** don't do it!!!

Simply put, the 4.0 upgrade is a mess. Most of the things you bought Parallels for in the first place eg. cut and paste from windows to Mac OS, speed and stability, viewing Windows files from Leopard etc. won't work in version 4.0. I am not a lone voice there are hundreds if not thousands with the same experience.

I was a big Parallels fan. This is such a mess that I think I'll call it a day and switch to VMWare Fusion which has been a better product for some time (and offered a free upgrade to version 2). Patient Parallels users who were waiting for an upgrade to give the same speed and stability offered by Fusion will be sorely disappointed.

Just in case you think I'm mistaken read on below....don't do it !!!!

 

It might work

After some initial problems, all the stuff you mentioned not working seems to work fine. At least from my case. (Installed parallels on clean Mac Os X install, did not succeed in installing it on "used" Mac Os X install. Even tried new account)
