but the Read and Write permissions and the owner are right.

    Here are the logfile entries:

Any idea how to resolve the fault?

You need to search around the forums.

Remove the hard disk from the Boot Camp VM configuration. Click ok, let it update. You see the hdd bundle is removed from your disk. Then add a hard drive, specifying it is a boot camp partition.

John @ Parallels says you won't lose any data - so far so good for me.

I've just started having the same issue, and unfortunately Parallels won't allow the disk to be removed from configuration. I get the error message:

Failed to configure the Boot Camp partition's hard disk.

A disk configuration error has occurred. Make sure that you have read/write permissions for the disk.

    I've checked and I have read/write permissions.

    Parallels - any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Tom

So you are hitting the minus ("-") button while the hard disk is selected in the list of hardware? All it does is delete the hard drive package. You could delete it yourself in the finder and then load the VM and try and fix it when it complains the hard drive file is missing. Perhaps you should delete the whole boot camp VM configuration and start again.

I understand, deleting the boot camp VM doesn't do anything to you boot camp partition. Might want to check though! :)

Thanks - I managed to sort it out by changing to a disk image, then back to boot camp. Seems ok now... not sure for how long!
