Anyone running both Parallels and Fusion on same machine?

I know there used to be an issue with both Parallels (v3) and Fusion on the same physical machine. Has this been resolved in v4, or can anyone report experiences of running the two together?

To be clear, I don't intend running both at the same time... just having them both installed and switching between them for business/personal use.

    Thanks,

    Tom

I have a Boot Camp partition that I have attempted to use with both VMWare and Parallels Desktop 4 (not at the same time). VMWare works. Parallels doesn't.

I don't know if it is an issue related to VMWare, but if you can't have both, Parallels should've told us that before they took my money.

Thanks, but I'm specifically referring to whether having them both installed causes problems in OS X. There was a problem previously where if Parallels started first it caused issues, but I'm wondering if this has been resolved in v4.

I'm not sure what you mean by "problems with OS X" - OS X is fine. Just Parallels doesn't work. :(

You can read the details in this thread over in the Fusion forum:

    http://communities.vmware.com/message/939020#939020

OS X would sometimes become unresponsive or freeze up altogether with both apps installed. Fusion blames it on Parallels (this was with v3). I'm wondering if the 'issue' has been resolved with v4.

I'm not asking about Boot Camp as I don't use it personally. I'm asking if having both Fusion (v2) and Parallels v4 installed on the same Mac causes problems in itself. Also does it matter if one or the other is started first. To summarise, is there ANY known issue with these two being installed on the same machine?
