prl_disp_service and prl_naptd failing to start

I'm getting "Unable to connect to Parallels Desktop" and digging a bit deeper (after reading this forum) it seems prl_disp_service and prl_naptd are failing to start which is probably the problem. I've attached the crash reporter files.

Any ideas?

 

same problem here. There are several "fixes" given out by John@Parallels but I have yet to see that solution fix one person's problem. Still waiting around and I have done everything, complete uninstall, restart, uninstall and have done all of the terminal entries. Still the program won't even start. Good luck to us all.

I just downloaded a security fix and a java update from Apple. Maybe the problems have to do with recent updates. I had no problems yesterday and now I can't even start parallels.
