I do not see improved parallels image tool listed as a new feature.

Despite a 128 GB partition listed in the configuration screen, my Win XP still thinks that I have 10 GB.

In various posts on the forum, resizing HDs seems to be an issue.

    Thanks,

    Hi, cyran

I guess Parallels Image Tool has not increased the last partition.
You can view more detailed information about the disk in Windows Disk Management ( Control Panel -> Administrative Tool -> Computer Management and in left tree choose Storage - Disk Management ). Disk size must be 128 Gb, partition size must be 10 Gb
    Is it true?

    Dear WBR:

Yes. Computer Management Says (C:) 7.80 GB NTFS 117.20 GB Free space.

Local Disk (C) Properties: Used space 7.50 GB; Free space 298 GB.

What should I do? Use image tools to convert it into an extended partition?

    Thanks,

    Cyran

    Hi, cyran.

You must Leave "Add unallocated space to last volume" option on "Virtual Disk Capacity" page chosen if you want to resize the last partition on disk during increasing disk capacity process.

If you unmark the option unallocated area will be present at the and of disk.

    With Best Regards,
    Stuw

    Thanks for your patience.

    Hi, cyran.

Option "Add unallocated space to last volume" is available in Parallels Image Tool since version 4.0. It is located on page where you can specify new disk size. And this option is enabled by default.
If you use version 3.0 this option is not available yet.
