I just have set up Paralles Desktop 3.0 Mac on a MacBook Pro, and therein a installation of Windows XP Service Pack 2. Then I installed the Paralles Tools in the VM.

So far everything worked well, however 3D support (at least Direct3D) doesn't work yet. 'dxdiag' tells, that Direct3D is not avaliable.

So the question: What steps must be done, to get 3D functionality working.

I'm using Linux OpenSUSE 10.3 as a host system and Windows XP as guest OS. I use it for games. When i tried to execute NHL08, it returns with message about 3D support failure.
Is there any 3D support (3D DirectX) for Parallels 2.2 for Linux host system.
If yes, then what steps must be done, to get 3D functionality working.
If no, then how long to wait?

    Thanx in advance.

Can you please check that DirectX is enabled on Configuration Page
To access configuration page, please follow steps bellow:
Double click Microsoft Windows Xp.pvs icon on your Mac Desktop, and immediately hold on Apple (Command) key, you will see Virtual Machine configuration page.
Click Memory line(or any other), then click Video, and check Enable DirectX Shaders(experimental) click ok, and click green triangle to start Virtual Machine, for now you can check dxdiag utility,
If you want to know what files are replaced, please check Parallels Desktop for Mac user guide on page 276 you can download the latest guide from http://www.parallels.com/en/download/file/doc/Parallels_Desktop_for_Mac_User_Guide.pdf
