I enabled the Shared User Profile setting for my VM (Vista) and I can't install Adobe now. I deleted the shared desktop setting and kept the documents, pictures, and music settings but I'm still having the same problem. The file downloads from the Adobe website just fine but it doesn't actually install. When I try to run the install program the circle "working" cursor appears as if InstallShield is going to start but it doesn't. Nothing happens. Any thoughts on how I can fix this? There isn't much information in the User Guide about utilizing the Shared User Profile.

    Thanks.

    Not sure what you mean

I installed Parallels. Then I installed Vista. Then I downloaded Adobe. As it downloads it goes through all of the install stuff but I just a folder that shows up on both my Vista desktop and the shared Mac desktop that say Adobe installer. When I open the folder and try to run the install tool it behaves like it's starting but then it does nothing.

Just wanted to let you know that I think I resolved all of the problems I was having. I realized that I was incorrectly installing the program. I had been running Parallels from the disk that I bought last year. I just found out about build 5608 and was installing that on top of the program I already had. I think the two installations were impacting each other. I re-installed from the iso image alone and Parallels is fine now. I've still had a few issues getting my networked computers to talk to each other properly as part of a workgroup but they are communicating so I believe these issues are independent of Parallels and have more to do with my settings. Thanks again.
