installing downloaded programs

I am trying to install iTunes and CompanionLink on the Windows side, so that I can sync my iPhone with ACT! contact manager. I can download the .exe setup files with no problem, but when I run the setup file (with either program), I get the following error message: "Could not access network location \\.PSF\\.Home\Desktop\. Any help in getting past this would be much appreciated. Thanks.

 

Please disable shared profile from VM configuration and try to install again

 

That worked, thank you. Should I now go back and restore that setting?

 

I suppose this is from software, leave it as it is, maybe this software cannot work over network?
