I realize this is probably a simple question but please be patient and your help would be most appreciated. I have recently purchased the upgrade from 2.0 to 3.0. Before I do the upgrade I would like to save my files on the external hard drive. Here is the catch. The 2.0 version when it opens has no menu bar at the bottom. I tried calling the phone support and they could not figure out how to get my menu bar at the bottom of the screen either. Is there a way I can back up my current files before upgrading?
Marcus OK- Got the task bar handled just went ahead and upgraded, lost no info. If I want to back my parallels onto an external hard drive I am assuming I simply hook that up while the parallels is open and that drive will show up and I can back it up from there?
No, you need to stop Parallels Desktop before backup After that use either copy folder or clone VM as described in Parallels Desktop for Mac user guide from http://www.parallels.com/en/download/file/doc/Parallels_Desktop_for_Mac_User_Guide.pdf on page 243
