I might be going crazy but since I purchased Parallels in January of 07 I swear at some point in time I had to upgrade to PD 3.0 for $39.99 and when I upgraded they sent me a new registration number from the one that came with the book/disc or maybe I am dreaming? Does Parallels or the OS Is there somewhere I can look? Is there a way to validate that the one I have is the right one. I ask because I am having a larger Hard disk installed and they told me sometimes Parallels doesn't liked being just copied it wants to be reinstalled and if that's the case I hate to get stuck without the proper registration number.
John, I haven't had it done yet, I take it in today, this is merely advice from the people at the Mac Shop from their past experience. I have the disk envelope with the serial number on it I just don;t know if it's the new one or the old one. Anyway to tell?
If there are problems, you can create ticket in support and if you bought it from our shop, sales engineer will send you missed keys
Was trying to head off a problem while the machine was there as obviously the shop won't bother with your recommendation, If it doesn't install I'll be left to fix it. May I assume (as I don;'t have an answer to this yet) there is no way to validate the serial number I have as the correct one by looking at the installation or somewhere in the operating system?
