I've been using Parallels [build 3214] for a long long time with my MBP and XP Pro and have always had a problem with the mouse. When the mouse is plugged in, any movement of the mouse causes it to fly around the screen indiscriminately ... no particular connection to how the mouse is moved .... it just flys around. It won't stay still...even without movement... just flies around the screen. So it make it impossible to right/left click on selections. With the mouse not connected, I am unable to select various options that I would normally select with the mouse right or left clicks. Holding down command and clicking on the track pad doesn't get me any options either. I How can I get the mouse to function normally ... or how can I use the track pad and various combinations of other keys to do what I want? I want to be able to select options that show up when I right/left click the mouse. Surely there is a simple solution. I'm using an optical mouse that works fine with mac applications outside of parallels. I've let this go on for well over a year without resolving. Help!!!
1. Uninstall all custom mouse drivers from VM 2. Use this build http://www.parallels.com/en/download/file/en/GA/Parallels-Desktop-3224-Mac-en.dmg
Mouse goes bananas I haven't had the chance to try it yet but will very soon. Thanks for your reply. I'm not sure how to uninstall the mouse drivers from VM. Where would I go to do this? I'm sure this will take me a few moments to sort out. Are you saying while in Parallels to go to Edit/Virtual Machine/USB Controller??? Doesn't seem to be any way to edit mouse or drivers. Help. I'm missing something here. I updated to the 3224 build but see no way to modify or uninstall the mouse or drivers. Don
