Hi, I recently had installed parallels and windows XP on my macbook and all seemed to work great for a while. However i shortly after noticed that my internet was running unusually slow (other computers on the network seemed fine) and decided to uninstall to determine if the program could be the cause of my problems. Having uninstalled parallels i found that the internet is still quite slow at times. Then i noticed that in my network prefs i have two network connections (complete with IP address) for parallels and guest NAT. I tried manually delting these but they reappeared again. So my question is basically does anyone have any info on how best to remove these connections and could they be somehow responsible for slowing my internet conections? thanks so much for any help. Conor
Remove following files /System/Library/Extensions/vmmain.kext /System/Library/Extensions/hypervisor.kext /System/Library/Extensions/Pvsvnic.kext /System/Library/Extensions/ConnectUSB.kext /System/Library/Extensions/Pvsnet.kext and restart Mac OS,
Thanks for your reply, although i dont seem to have a "extensions" folder within the library folder, when i entered the filenames into spotlight i get no hits, so i guess i have already deleted them somehow.
