I'm running XP Pro on MacBook and everything else is running great, but the CD readig speed is very slow. My CD-ripping software tells me that the speed is 0.06x and to rip one cd it would take over five hours. What's wrong?

Stop VM, and start Parallels Desktop holding the Command key
In CD-DVD change IDE channel to 1:0

That didn't hel. I tried all the options exept 0:0 (Parallels said the hard drive is using that). Any other ideas?

Delete CD-DVD from Device Manager, reinstall Parallels Tools

With Windows Media Player the speed is definately better. But I still would like to use Easy CD-DA Extractor. Is there anything I can try to get it working?

I suppose you need to contact software manufacturer first, because our software optimized for Windows API, but this custom software may use its own API
