Going nuts here. New to Mac/Parallels

I have tried over and over to get Parallels 3.0 for Mac to run. The last error message I received was:

File viaide.sys caused an unexpected error (512) at line 5964 in D:\xpsprtm\base\boot\setup\setup.c.

And when did I set up a "keychain password" and how do I reset it?

Thank you a million times over to helping, I have got to get this up and running...I have been working on it for weeks and I really can't afford to go another route after all the $$ I have sunk into the mac and xp and parallels!

Are you trying to run Windows installation on Boot Camp Windows?

 

No, I am trying to install Windows through the Parellels window.

 

- delete failed VM folder from Documents/Parallels
- Start Parallels Desktop and select custom installation mode
- Disable Intel-VTx and Hardware acceleration

 

Will this harm performace of genuine Mac apps?

 

NO, it doesn't
