Someone please help me man !!!!!1

when i download parallels

i try and open it and then i get his box with nothing but letters in it

and it says something about DOS mode

someone help if u kno wht to do about this please

 

are you using a mac? if so make sure you've downloaded the disk image and not the windows version of parallels. if you're using a pc i would suggest posting in the windows forum and not the mac forum.

 

man im using a mac wht do u think im talkin about not tryin to be rude

but yeah i download it on my MAC BOOK and i just get this box filled up with random letters and stuff

 

so where are you in the process? you have downloaded but when you open the image it shows you the weird box? or you were able to open the file you downloaded and were able to install it but when you start up parallels you get the weird box?

 

no nothing starts at all except the weird box with a bunch of letter in stuff in it

and thats soon as i get

1. download parallels
2. go to downloads on my mac
3. click on parallels.exe
4. the weird box with a bunch of letters and random stuff in it

 

ok like i said you need to download parallels for mac, you downloaded parallels for windows

 

yeah i did the download for windows meaning i thought when i download it for windows

that i use mac and then install windows on my mac or am i wrong

 

you totally lost me.

if you are using a MacBook, you need to download Parallels Desktop for Mac http://www.parallels.com/en/products/desktop/ this will allow you to run windows on your mac, though you'll still need a windows installation disk. no Macintosh file ends with .exe - that's a windows executable.

cuz when you go to that page u sent me

click trial

then i usually dl the one that says "for windows" because i think that it means for ppl tryin to install windows on their mac
