Disk read start up Error ON XP

Guys i need some serious help here,

i forgot to shut the system down overnight
then just this moring when ii tried to boot xp up...

error reads:

BOOT FROM HARD DRIVE...
A DISK READ ERROR HAS OCCURED
PRESS CTRL ALT DEL TO RESTART

i dont know if i should re-install the program
but i don't want to loose all my info on my xp side
i have no clue what to do and i use this to work and now
i am very stuck and pretty much useless without my xp/mac

Back up Vm copying VM folder and perform Windows repair http://kb.parallels.com/en/5138

 

i have gone as far as backing it up (cloned it) then copy paste it on my mac desktop (winxp.hdd) then i already followed the article u gave me then i already uninstalled parallels through terminal and reinstalled the newwest version. still no good. now what do i do next?

 

also did kb 4680 still no good. i only need to retrieve my google chrome bookmarks, and wanted to get a fresh copy of xp...

 

Just one note about 4680 article, try this on all hds files not on the latest and biggest
