error message on opening

    whenever Parallels is started I get the following message: "[C] MS Windows XP Timed out waiting for file system to initialize. The volume has been ejected. You can use the init_timeout mount option to wait longer." How do I fix/get rid of this? Thanks.

    follow up

    I have tried your suggestion. I uninstalled and re-installed Parallels following the link and instructions exactly. It did not help. I still get the same error message, and the program is just not stable. If I change programs or execute commands too quickly, it hangs all the time and I get the color wheel of death. When I try to update and then install Tools, same effect. Can I possibly get some tech support for this product? Thank you.

    What is OS you are using and build of Parallels Desktop?

    I am using Windows XP Pro. The Parallels build number is 5160. Thanks.

    Ok, I don't want to be rude but I have completely had it with this apparent piece of crap product. I have followed your instructions to the letter. I have twice completely uninstalled and reinstalled the product per your instructions, most recently downloading the build that you told me to download. Now it doesn't work at all. Windows now won't boot, so I don't even have access to the essential business programs that I need access to every day. I PAID GOOD MONEY FOR THIS PRODUCT. IS THIS THE ONLY TECHNICAL SUPPORT YOU PROVIDE? CAN I PLEASE GET SOME EFFECTIVE TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR THIS PRODUCT? LIKE SOMEBODY WITH A PHONE NUMBER?

    It is hard to guess problem with lack of information, and there is no need to use capitalized letter,

    I thought this was for support. Excuse my frustration but I don't think it should be so hard to get working. I don't have an IT department. After another couple of hours I finally got the last build to run. Thank you.
