I have parallels installed on my MacBook. I have been using it for a couple months without a problem.

Yesterday I tried to log in to Windows, but can't get past the screen where you have to push ctrl+alt+del. I click inside the window and my mouse gets captured. I don't see a mouse pointer at all anywhere. Then I push fn+del+ctrl+alt, and the program releases my mouse, but I still don't get a login screen. I also tried doing Actions>Send keys>ctrl+alt+del from the menu, but that doesn't do anything either.

Has anybody else had similar problems? I tried restarting both Parallels and my Mac which didn't help.

If windows has a screensaver up and I click the Parallels window, pushing keys and moving the mouse doesn't wake it up. It seems like the connection between my mouse/keyboard and Parallels isn't there anymore. Is there a way to refresh that?

    Try following,
Connect keyboard and mouse to Windows
    Reinstall Parallels Tools
    restart VM
