I did a fresh CentOS 5.2 installation, installed parallel tools and all updates. Still the same situation: 40% CPU usage. The Activity monitor sample is attached as to this reply.
Here is my sample of a CentOS 5.2 VM that has been suspended. OSX is reporting that Parallels is using about 3% in this state.
Please create ticket in support, I reproduced it, but I need more information Please post here ticket ID we continue troubleshooting
Is there any resolution on this? Does the latest version of Parallels Tools posted in other threads fix this? (I am seeing this problem too.)
Tools were rewritten, please try to use build 5624 http://download.parallels.com/stuff/Parallels-Desktop-5624-Mac-en.dmg
Doesn't help. In fact, I still see 30-40% CPU usage on my Macbook after shutting down Linux and reaching the "System halted" message. Once I stop the VM, the CPU usage goes away.
