I've already installed Windows XP on the Bootcamp partition, but I would like to convert (copy?) my complete Parallels setup to the Bootcamp partition. Is this even possible? So that eventually I erase the Parallels VM and have Mac OSX and Bootcamp Win XP (my old Parallels install)?
Even so it is possible, the best way is to reinstall all software in Boot Camp, as migration the entire VM to Boot Cam will take amount of time and too many steps In summary 1. Backup VM, using Windows backup the whole VM 2. Restore it to Boot camp Windows 3. Perform Windows repair on Boot Camp
I gave up and reinstalled all on my Bootcamp Win XP installation. However, just for my information (and for others who might want to do the same thing) -- 1. What would you use to backup the whole VM? 2. What would you use to restore, and how 3. What "Windows repair" would be necessary? Thanks.
1. What would you use to backup the whole VM? NT backup http://www.theeldergeek.com/backup_using_wizard.htm 2. What would you use to restore, and how the same link 3. What "Windows repair" would be necessary? http://kb.parallels.com/en/5138 Boot Camp section
