When you have Win XP VM set to automatically close when the Parallels VM Win install is closed, HOW IN THE WORLD (pardon me) how do you change the configuration so that you can reconfigure? See, when you run WIN XP it says you can configure while the machine is running. When you STOP the machine, it quickly vanishes and closes. At NO TIME CAN YOU HUMANLY (excuse me) get to the configuration screen to change the configuration. Maybe this is in the manual, but I have not found it. Anyone have a clew (chiefly Brit.). Thanks.
You're starting Parallels from an alias (shortcut) that is intended just to speed up guest OS access. Like with any other Mac application you can start it, and you normally do from the Applications folder. /Applications/Parallels/Parallels Desktop.app I've seen this happen over and over again on these forums with very 'emotional' posts like yours, and I just can't understand why people won't try to start Parallels like a normal app to access the configurations. Oh, and that clew thing saying it's chiefly British is a bit arrogant, if you didn't want people to think you misspelled 'clue' you could've just wrote 'clue' instead, unless you want to 'show' you know more than the others in linguistic terms which seems inappropriate and off-topic for these forums. In here, what's important is that the message gets thru, and for that it's more appropriate to use common terms.
