I have been running latest II's Mac Client for some time with no problems. I have Vista and XP on two VM disks. Vista is installed with 20GB (@12GB free) while XP (appears) to have 32 GB. When I boot into XP my "C" volume is 8GB (??) and, as Microsoft keeps sending me updates I have now only 400MB left!! I am unable to change the size of this drive. It purports to be 32GB and Mac OSX.5.4 tells me it is. Yet, when booted, it's only 8GB? Tried all sorts of different things. Made it expandable /fixed-size /cloned it all to no avail. On using II's Explorer the thing is NTSF (1) 8 GB but the Config Editor tells me it's 32GB?? I don't want to start again. The uSoft bloke on the 'phone may get annoyed giving me more activation stuff since I've installed XP on too many replaced HDs. I have 120GB free on the Mac side, 2GB memory. regards :+++>
Probably you have virtual disk size set to 32 gb, but olume C: is 8 GB In disk management create new partition, and copy some files from c: to e:
VM disk size problem Thanks, John. Cannot find any disk management tool to try what you requested. Even if I created another Partition the OS resides on the "C" volume and XP seems to be growing > 8GB? I feel my only solutions are to either create a new VM disk and 'Ghost' the OS on "C" or start from scratch and install anew? Is there any explanation why the 8GB partition is there? I do not remember creating it. I upgraded thru the II's versions to 3? regards
Ok OK John, read manual and created another partition. Cannot transfer much as most stuff must reside on C drive? Think I'll start again! Thanks.
Actually there is another way to do, but be carefully. Delete e: partition and you can try steps described in http://uneasysilence.com/archive/2007/01/9404/ Just backup VM first
I followed this guide http://uneasysilence.com/archive/2007/01/9404/ a couple of weeks ago and it worked it a treat! Which is really the only option as I needed C: to be bigger, no good to me having another partition.
