When Parallels is running, the eject key on my Mac Pro keyboard does not cause the optical drive door to open unless Parallels is the active window. I get the animation of the eject button on the display, but no action from the drive itself. Make Parallels the active window, and the eject key works normally. Is there a fix? I am running Parallels 3.0 set up for My Bootcamp, and Parallels tools are properly installed. I have a 2x2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, running OSX 10.5.4. Everything else is working fine. I found a similar post from January, with many views but no responses.
By default CD connected to VM, from Devices CD/DVD click disconnect and you can use keyboard key for eject
