Apparently, and oddly enough, Firefox seems to be the only application in my Windows VM that can access the internet. (And it has a real fast connection too.) Any other application I try to run that use the internet connection, cannot connect. Even other browsers won't; only firefox. It shows that I'm connected to the internet; in my LAC, Parallels Internet MAnager, and even with ipconfig.

This only started happening when I upgraded/updated to Build 5608. Before that, internet worked perfectly, for every program.

    Thanks.

Antivirus, or Firewall may prevent Internet access

MY firewall was always off, since its always been preventing internet access. I just turned off AVG, and it doesn't help. I did install the Kaspersky Internet Security Suite though, right after I updated, so maybe that'sthe problem? How do I uninstall it?

I already checked thier support section on uninstalling, and it doesn't help. Apparently its not there. But its there? (I know for a fact I installed it. But when the VM restarted, it was extremely laggy to the poitn where I found out the CPU was constantly being used at 100%. Something was doing it, and I think it was Kaspersky, since it was right after teh installation and restart. So I had to force stop the VM, and then started it up again. It worked perfectly then. But sicne then I couldn't access internet (except for firefox) and I couldn't find the KIS anywhere.)

In Task manager check are there running processes like kavsc.exe or similar, if yes, Kaspersky is installed

Nope....Its not there. I guess its not installed. I'll run the installer again, restart, and see what happens this time. Then I'll uninstall it.

EDIT: IT doesn't seem to work...I don't think it even installs...I click isntall KIS, it tells me I have to be running my guest OS, and then it says its installing and it will restart once the installation is complete.....No menu poppud up after that; it just restarted. The amount of time it supposedly 'installed' was extremely short. Maybe its not installing because I don't have INTERNET!!! >=(

The problem is that you can access Internet from Firefox points to fact that something like KIS is still there
I recommend to connect to Kaspersky support again, and describe situation to either in live chat (if they have one), or forum, or their support system
