I double click on my parallels and get the following message: Parallels Mounter is unable to browse virtual disk. Makes sure the virtual disk if not corrupted or used by Parallels Mounter or another program." I try to create a new VM and, using hte custom feature, select my 'corrupted' hd. I also reinstalled parallels and then took the new diskdescript.xml and pasted that into the older and corrupt version but still couldn't get around the corrupt message. There is a file that i really need. Any solutions. On a MBP and using Parallels 3.0.
Backup VM using one of the solutions described in Parallels Desktop for Mac user guide from http://www.parallels.com/en/download/file/doc/Parallels_Desktop_for_Mac_User_Guide.pdf on page 243 and perform steps in http://kb.parallels.com/en/4680
Thanks John. I did that. But, when i get to step 7 on KB#4680 and browse to windows.hdd i am again told that its corrupt and can't advance.
