Open Device manager in Windows and make sure that video card is not disabled

if its the display adapter.. it is runnng and has even been updated

  4. Uninstall the Parallels Video Driver from the Device Manager and reinstall Parallels Tools.

How do you go about enabling the Shader in Video? Where would the settings be on WinXP SP3? What needs to be checked for and changed exactly? How do I also find out what video card is installed, where is this information available?

  8. DirectX Shaders support is enabled thru Parallels Configuration Editor for your VM under the Video category.
