Hi, I have Win XP installed through Bootcamp. I have a parallels VM that I use to run the bootcamp partition through OS X. This setup has been running fine for months. Overnight my Mac crashed while the parallels VM was running. Now the VM won't run. When I try to boot the vm I get an error dialog. The error dialog has no text - just a red X and an ok button. When I click ok the WinXP briefly logs in, then when the error pops again and I get logged out when I click ok again. So I can't get into windows through the parallels VM. I can boot into Windows directly through bootcamp without any problems. I also tried to create a new vm for my bootcamp installation but it has exactly the same error. Any ideas on what is causing this problem and what I can do to fix it it? Cheers, AF
Ok, I fixed this problem. There's an option in the hard-disk options, advanced section to clear all parallels data from the bootcamp partition. After clearing this data I was the VM boots properly again. AF
