Problem just started yesterday as follows -

I click on the Parallels/Windows XP icon, parallels box appears then "cubes" to a window which then shows

1- Black screen with Windows XP logo and progress bar; progress bar indicators flicker from left to right a couple of times (everything looking normal at this point), then,

2- a blue screen flashes within the window for only a second. I had to let it do it many times to piece together the text within it, which says: "The image normalized is possibly corrupt. The header checksum does not match the computed checksum."

3- The blue screen disappears from the window and a black one appears, which says: Parallels 2.0, Build 5584, 2005-2207, 640 kb base memory, 524288 kb extended memory

Then after one or two seconds this screen disappears and we go back to step one and repeat the cycle endlessly.

For what it's worth, I do not use boot camp.

I re-downloaded Parallels but the problem did not change.

    Any hints?
