Hello I've just gotten in a new Kodak i1120 scanner and the USB has become an issue again. I had issues with my old scanner a neat receipts one that i used in my travels but now that I'm in my office I'd like to use this. My issue is that the scanner is read like it is perfectly fine but when I tell it to scan it acts like it can't communicate. Then after a long delay the error message saying "Unable to communicate with scanner" How can we get this fixed ASAP? Thanks
# Start Windows guest OS, go to "Start" -> "Control Panel" -> "System" -> "Device Manager" and uninstall all devices under the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" (right-click the devices). # Shut down your VM. # In VM Configuration Editor, delete the USB Controller and start Windows guest OS again. # Wait 5-10 minutes until Windows finishes the driver setup. # Shut down Windows. # Add "USB Controller" back to your VM configuration and start Windows again.
Found that on an earlier post of yours and didn't have any luck with it either. Could it be an issue with TWAIN?
I am not exactly sure with that model, but all TWAIN based should work, I suppose this scanner probably has its own drivers differ from TWAIN. If it will not work I can suggest only wait for Parallels Desktop version 4, in September
Is the beta available yet? Is that an update or is it a whole new version of Parallels. Anyone solve this issue yet out there or find a alternative solution. Still can't get mine to work.
