    Hi Parallels team,

LIke others, I lost my internet connection on Windows side when I went to Build 5582. I have tried almost all the advice in the forum but still nothing. Here is my configuration:

    1) Do you have network connection on Mac side? YES
    2) What type of connection is set in your VM? To check this go to Devices -> Network Adapter when the Guest OS is running. Have you ever changed the type of connection? SHARED
    3) Do you have a static or a dynamic IP? DYNAMIC
    4) Do you have to pass authorization when connecting to Internet? NO
    5) Please tell me if you have Keyspan programs installed on Mac. NO
    6) Please describe me your antivirus protection in VM. NO
    7) Do you have Firewall enabled on Mac and Windows sides? NO, not in either
    8) Do you have VPN? NO

I have tried TERMINAL: sudo killall -HUP pvsnatd

I have tried turning IPv4 Configuration to OFF and then back to DHCP, for both Guest-Host and NAT

I have turned on Internet Sharing within OSX system prefs

    I have reinstalled Parallels.

None of these have worked. Screen shots attached of some of my configuration.
What do you suggest as next steps? Thank you.

When you open network preferences and click on Parallels NAT what does is say under status?

It should say: Parallels NAT is currently active and has the IP address 10.211.55.16.

    Does it?

    Thanks John and anschmid

IP config in Windows doesn't work - returns no information. Screen shot is attached.

anschmid, when I look at Parallels NAT in OSX Network Prefs, the IP address is: 10.211.55.2 not 10.211.55.16.

    thoughts?

Thanks, I've now tried that. I removed Network adaptor and reinstalled it. Shared networking, Enabled and Connected at Start-up. But still doesn't work, and ipconfig still doesn't return anything. Thanks,

    - Andy

The IP address doesn't matter what is more important what is the TEXT in your Status field:

"Parallels NAT is currently active and has the IP address XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX"

Does your says it's active or does it say it has no or only limited network connection?

Yes, Parallels network adapter is enabled in Win. But in properties, doesn't appear there's any input / output.

    Firewall is disabled.

When I ask to repair the connection, it returns this message: "Windows could not finish repairing this connection because the following action occured: Failed to query TCP/IP settings of the connection. Can't proceed."

Do you have Parallels Network Adapter in Control panel - Network Connections?
Can you see Network Adapter in Device Manager
If yes, check Windows for Viruses

    >>Do you have Parallels Network Adapter in Control panel - Network Connections? YES
    >>Can you see Network Adapter in Device Manager? YES
    >>If yes, check Windows for Viruses. NOT SURE I KNOW HOW TO DO THAT -- UNFAMILIAR WITH WINDOWS

ok, right click network adapter -properties -select tcp/ip c;ocl properties, check what is there,
    also check
    Assign following IP manually
    IP 10.211.55.4
    subnet 255.255.255.0
    Gateway 10.211.55.2 (try also 10.211.55.1)
    DNS 10.211.55.2

If you have antivirus in WIndows disable it

No effect, still doesn't connect -- here's the set-up (photo attached).

I don't have anti-virus software on the Windows side (or mac).

Hi John -- I just used CureIt and no viruses found. And no, I'm not running any Keyspan software.

    Ok, let us go further
    1. Delete network adapter from Device Manager
    2. Stop VM
    3. Delete network Adapter from devices
    4. Add another one select Shared Networking
    and check

John - no luck. Deleted network adaptor from Device Mgr. Removed and added a new Netw Adaptor in the Configuration Editor in Parallels. No internet connection still.

Both. I'm at work currently and I'm on wired office network. But have also tried this at home over wireless router, and results are no different. Internet connection is normal on the mac side. But nothing on PC.
