Hi all. I have a Ghost boot CD that we use to image our XP systems. The problem is, this version of Ghost runs on Windows Vista. That means to install it I have to create a Vista VM or I get an error from Windows about ACPI not being enabled. Initially, after the installation, I forgot to set it to XP. When I installed the Parallels Tools it got halfway through and crapped out. I had some strange behavior which I figure must be related. Starting fresh, I did the install again then switched the system to XP before installed the tools. However when I boot I just get a black screen! Can anyone shed some light on this? Or is what I'm asking just impossible? Thanks,
Backup VM as described in Parallels Desktop for Mac user guide from http://www.parallels.com/en/download/file/doc/Parallels_Desktop_for_Mac_User_Guide.pdf on page 243, perform Windows repair, Windows reinstall HAL according to changed hardware http://kb.parallels.com/en/5138
