i like to view folders in Windows as "Details", but every time i restart Parallels with Windows XP, it resets my view settings and the folders appear as thumbnails. Parallels Build 5608 Windows XP SP2 using Bootcamp partition Macbook Pro 2.4ghz This is really the only problem I've run into, but it's kind of annoying.
right....i should've been more clear. i configure windows to view as details, i configure it to view All Folders in that mode, and it resets itself. if i'm the only one getting this issue, then i'll just start keeping better notes as to when it happens. the other strange thing is that i have to occasionally reinstall parallels tools.
Ok, check, can you set show hidden files and folders and uncheck Hide protected operating system files(Recommended) and check is this setting resets back?
those settings are maintained. i actually think this is some sort of combination of Parallels/Windows/CCleaner. i'm going to toy around with it some more and see, but it seems when i run CCleaner and restart, the folder view gets reset (but the settings you requested i test, john, were maintained) i'll report back after some more testing
