I'm trying to work out the best parallels configuration before activating Windows XP Pro. My first thought was to maximize RAM and Video memory, but I've noticed that in a couple of posts the experts have suggested reducing the amount of VM RAM. Anyway here's my hardware configuration, as responding to the sticky on requesting help:

    1. Mac OS: 10.5.4
    2. Parallels Build: 5608
    3. Computer: MacBook Pro Penryn 2.5 GHz
    4. Ram: 4GB
    5. HDD: 200GB 7200Rpm
    6. Bootcamp: Yes, on a 60GB partition
    7. Upgrade from Beta: no
    8. n/a
    9. Parallels tools: installed
    10-14 N/A

Right now I have the VM RAM set to 1540MB and Video Ram to 64MB and things seem to be working. But if, in the long term, they would work better with more or less of either type of RAM, I would appreciate knowing. Also, if there are any other configuration suggestions I should consider before activating Windows, I would appreciate those as well.

    Thanks,

    Rob

Nothing to suggest, go ahead and activate it if Parallels Tools are already installed.
