    Sorry for the late reply.

Actually I was running the setup from my harddisk but then I got a DVD and ran the setup from there... and bingo it didnt give any error then. I wonder why was it giving the error in the former case

    Guest OS is Win XP...

    Hi EvilLuke,
Are you running the Visual Studio 2008's setup from the hard disk?

    Hi mate,

Indeed I am, and having read the other guy's response I'll burn the ISO to a DVD and try it again.

Oh, and I'm running XP (not Vista).

    cheers,

    ~luke

Easier way to fix than burning DVD

    Hi,

For those of you that get the same msg you have 2 ways to fix the problem:

1} Burn a DVD and use that

2} Mount the ISO image using Parallels (MUCH easier!)

    Menu -> Devices -> CD/DVD ROM 1 -> mount image

Find the ISO image and mount it. Works a treat and no need for burning a DVD!

    cheers,

    ~luke

    Hey Luke,

I actually registered just to thank you for that fix for getting this installed. Mounting the iso worked like a champ.

    Thanks a pile,
