I'm getting the following error trying to copy any file from my mac over to the virtual disk. I've been doing this for weeks without any problems until today. "The item "XXXXX.XXX" cannot be copied because there is not enough free space." My disk is nowhere close to full. In fact, I've deleted some old files since I created the image so there would be more space then there was originally. Any suggestions? Thanks!
I suppose you compressed virtual disk already , and can see that there is a space, but actually if you compressed it only allows to run currently running items, not to copy new one
I have just run into the same problem. The XP virtual drive has about 50GB free according to Windows Explorer, but Finder says there is no free space available, so trying to copy files by dragging from Finder (Mac drive) to Finder (XP drive) is no go. Trying to drag from Finder (Mac drive) directly to Windows Explorer causes parallels tools to crash and the virtual machine has to be shut down. I am using the most up to date version of Parallels and XP Pro service pack 3. Bart
as a first step Please download build 5608 following link bellow: http://download.parallels.com/v3/en/GA/Parallels-Desktop-5608-Mac-en.dmg and reinstall Parallels Desktop as described in kb http://kb.parallels.com/en/4790
John, I already have the most up to date version. I was about to reinstall it, but someone suggested reinstalling the Parallels tools in the affected VM and that has fixed the problem. Thanks, Bart
